We wanted to keep things simple and uniform. Remember to measure twice and drill once so the holes and dowels match up.  Also, remember you don't need holes in the very top or bottom surfaces once stacked.  I then put in 6 mm wood dowels (without glue so they can be easily unstacked for moving) and attached them to each other.  <br /><br />Finally, I made a top for each with some spare MDF that I had and mounted it on dowels mounted horizontally at the correct depth for the top to mount flush into the dresser.  <br /><br />I also made a bookshelf to go on top of the office drawers using spare wood for the shelf, cut up an Ikea Bygel metal rail for the book ends, and finished the legs with some metal feet from another Ikea project.<br /><br />~ Dan, Adelaide, Australia

The Godmorgon basin stands are good quality, and have very nice soft-closing drawers with extra dividers to go inside them.  <br /><br />My first project was to turn three of them into a new bed.  We live an apartment that is seriously lacking in storage, so we want all of the drawers we can get. We drilled five holes on each side of the door and used five long screws for each drawer front along with lots of heavy duty construction glue. <br /><br />The second step was to attach the top door to the base. We didn't want any screw heads to show (for natural reasons), so we attached the top door using dowels and glue. Since we didn't have any wooden dowels in our tool box, we used ordinary nails (with chopped off nail heads) that we put in pre drilled holes in the drawer fronts along with construction glue. It was a bit tricky to fit the door exactly right, but since the nails produced tiny marks on the door when we positioned it on top of the drawer fronts, it was easy to see where to drill holes (1 cm deep) along the edges of the top door. <br /><br />The last step was to attach the Godmorgon legs to the table. We had to play around with the positioning of the legs a few times until we found the positioning that we thought worked well with the design. <br /><br />The total cost for this project was around 800 SEK (90 EUR or 120 USD). <br /><br />It is a fairly simple hack, but nevertheless rather elegant, or what do you think? <br /><br />~ Laura and Johan, Stockholm, Sweden

Measure and poke holes in the backing where you want to place the knobs for chunky necklaces. <br />2. Using a wire cutter, cut the screws for the knobs so when the knobs are screwed on they are not too long and screw the knobs on the inside of the back. <br />3. Measure on the door where you want to place the cup hooks for chain necklaces and drill holes about 1/4 to 1/2 of the way through. <br />4.(Optional) Make the cup hooks' opening larger with wire cutters and smooth them with a metal file. (I felt that the cup hooks were too curved and closed, if that makes sense) <br />5. Screw in the hooks. <br />6. Remove the glass from the picture frame, cut the ring foam pad to size and glue it in the back of the picture frame, and put it back in the frame. <br />7. Nail a picture hook to the door and hang the frame. You can stabilize the frame by using adhesive pads (ex. Command Strips), or hold it with the earring holder like I did. <br />8. Attach earring holder according to the manufacturer's directions. <br />9. Assemble cabinet, place shelves and organize. <br /><br />* Before deciding where to place the things on the doors make sure the the shelves will not interfere with them. I was only able to use 2 shelves. <br />* If you decide to hang your rings like I did make sure that the foam pad is the one with slits in the foam and not rolls (they will probably not hold the rings vertically).  <br /><br />~ Ana K., Davie, FL
