Spray the old wooden plate swing in your favourite color and let it dry.  <br /><br />2. Remove the old plastic seat and screw your new wooden seat on the metallic stool legs. They are rebuilding a house and also giving the garden a brush-up so the log was quite fresh and still moist. <br /><br />Used a chainsaw to cut up the log in 8 cm "discs" and then made them look nice and even with a planer and a good pile of sandpaper.<br /><br />Gave the wood discs a little oil on the top to make them more resistant towards dust, water or... <br /><br />Just used big screws to mount the wood on the legs of Marius. The original seat just went into the waste bin. <br /><br />I really love the look of these stools, used them for a present for my best friends on the opening day in their interior store. <br /><br />I guess that the wood will twist a little as it dries up but then it will be possible to adjust the screws and make the top even again. <br /><br />The stool are meant to be used as a small table for nice stilllebens. <br /><br />The strange name Tr�buret is Danish and made by mixing the word tr� (wood) and taburet (stool). Place the cushion on top of the stool seat and keep lifting it up and putting the hot glue between the seat and the cushion and pressing it down immediately. I realised hot glue cools very fast and doing it this way ensures you can quickly stick the cushion to the seat. <br /><br />Step 3: Lay your fabric down print facing the floor and then put your stool upside down with the cushion on the back of the fabric. Make slits to the fabric in accordance with where the legs of the stool will come and then pick up your glue gun and start gluing the fabric to the underside of the stool seat. Lazy me I've just left it as I don't really think people will be looking under the stool. But once you are done with you're gluing ... Voila! Then I made the birds and crochet and sewed them together to a big circle, and at last I crochet around the piece to make it big enough to fit the plate.
