But you can also make this for the hallway near to your wardrobe, easy to sit on while putting on your shoes. In that case the storage under can be used for other shoes.  <br /><br />- for this bench you need the 2 small 30/90 parts (to extend the table)  <br />- the four legs  <br />- all screws and construction parts  <br />- the construction between the tabletop and the legs.  <br />- some other screws and 4 metal corners  <br /><br />1. Unscrew the whole table. Use all screws and construction parts again.(Remember the construction of the legs to table top, because you have to do this again).  <br /><br />2. Take the 2 small table tops. Deconstruct all parts and use the table tops only.    <br /><br />3. Saw the legs to the height you want. Saw them from the bottom, because you need the construction on the top.  <br /><br />4. Saw the construction between the tabletop and the legs in the width of &lt;30 cm.  <br /><br />5. On one side the 90 cm length will follow the construction as it was. You can use all screws and construction parts as it was.   <br /><br />6. On the other 90 cm side you have to carve a new slot in the construction between the table top and the legs. This is easy to make with a saw and a carve. You know what I mean when you deconstructed the table.  <br /><br />7. construct the other side.  <br /><br />8. Construct the table top on the construction. (follow the ikea instructions!)  <br /><br />9. Construct the legs.  <br /><br />10. Saw four corners out from the other small table top, in order to fit between the four legs.  <br /><br />11. You will need other screws and metal corners.  <br /><br />12. The hinges weren't put in correctly when it was first built, and so the doors would never shut completely and we were constantly banging our knees when we brushed our teeth. We went to the Home Depot to see how much it would cost to re-do the doors, and WHOA! Cabinet doors and hardware are EXPENSIVE!  <br /><br />Instead, we went to IKEA and purchased a Racka curtain rod and the Betydlig hardware to install it. While we were there, I saw the Lustifik shoe rack and the measurements were perfect to create shelves inside the cabinet space!  <br /><br />First, we took the hinges and old doors off completely! We trimmed the bottom and top with IKEA Sy pinking shears so the fabric wouldn't fray, and cut small slits along the top edge to weave the Racka rod through.  <br /><br />Finally, after the curtains were finished, we put together the Lustifik shoe rack and placed it inside. It fits perfectly and creates extra shelving for storage. We used the Skubb and Godmorgon boxes for organizing our bathroom, too!   <br /><br />All in all, this project only took about an hour. The ALGOT table top is too narrow so I used three ANTONIUS table tops sized 44x55cm which perfectly fit in the width of the frame. I joined three table tops with hinges then installed the center top to the frame with the given wall mount fittings provided in ALGOT set. Inboard end is supported by black-painted 5/8" x 7 1/4" MDF (courtesy Home Despot). Two 1 5/8" drywall screws into each shelf end - be careful not to overtighten - you're only screwing into about 3/8" MDF at the end of each shelf. I did use the IKEA supports on the long top shelves - shelves still had to be cut to length, and mounting the hardware to line everything up took VERY careful measuring.  <br /><br />I think it still has the Lack look, and so far hasn't collapsed under the load. :)  I do have to warn visitors not to sit on the end tables! One interesting tidbit - the space between the two long top shelves was tight at installation, but has since opened up about 1/8". Obviously Lack shrinks! I have seen fake, floating credenzas on the web (dubbed a "fauxdenza") and decided to give it a try!  <br /><br />The 13" depth of the kitchen cabinets was perfect for my awkward space, and the kitchen storage was just what I needed to hide all of my DVDs and components!  <br /><br />I mounted the Akurum wall cabinets about 8 inches above the floor, so that the credenza was floating off the floor.
