Materials: VCKIS clock, pre-made frames or scrap wood, glue, stain

Description: Add a wood frame to the VCKIS for a modern/mid-century/rustic mantle clock. I lucked out and found some chunky pre-made, stain-ready pine frames but this can easily be made with some scrap wood. I added some little gray stick on foam pads to keep the clock snug in the opening and glued two frames together for the appropriate depth.

(Tip: after the glue dries, you can sand the whole thing so it is perfectly flush all the way around.) What's nice is by keeping original backing, I can still access the clock back to change the battery or reset the time.
